Bus accidents often involve an out of state carrier and a non-resident driver. Care must be taken to make sure that the personal injury/accident claim is brought in the victim's county of residence. Often it should be venued in Federal Court. If the trial attorney does not start it in Federal Court, it can be "removed" to Federal Court by the attorneys for the insurance company. Sometimes that can be accomplished in a different county. Care must be taken to insure that your case is heard in the county of your residence.
